November 2006: TPC Children Living B.I.G.
Rev. Sherry Holloman, Associate Pastor
From the Heart - Rev. Sherry Holloman     The Scripture text a few weeks ago focused on Paul’s letter to the Corinthians. In this reading, the apostle reminded the people that the church is like a body…hands, feet, eyes, ears and so on. Each body part serves a different, but necessary function; each part is important. During the Children’s Moment, this question was asked of the children, “How will you use your body to live as a Christian this coming week?” Here’s how some of our children said they would live out their Belief In God:Click for larger image
*I will use my heart to be kind.
*I will use my hands to help others.
*I will use my mind to obey my Mom and Dad.
*I will use my hands to lift others to heaven.
*I will use my mouth to pray.
*I will use my head to think good things.
*I will use my feet to walk the path of righteousness.
*I will use my lips to say prayers.
*I will use my brain to think of ways to spread God’s Word.
*I will use my tummy to eat the bread and drink the juice at the Lord’s Supper.
*I will use my eyes to read the Bible.
*I will use my ears to listen to the words of the Bible.
May we, as adults, continue to teach, model for and learn from God’s little ones. Even with all of their wiggles and giggles, they do listen, and hear, and do!
